L’Ecuela is a beautifully renovated 100 year old school building above St Jean D’Aulps close to Morzine, sleeping up to 15 people in 7 spacious ensuite bedrooms.
The chalet boasts old stone walls mixed with wooden beams, wooden walls and floors, spacious rooms, comfortable new bedding, modern appliances, luxury Egyptian cotton linen and fluffy towels giving a luxurious and cosy feel to the chalet, as well as an outdoor wood fired hot tub and a large games room with pool table, PS4 with large screen projector, table tennis and table football, Netflix and Disney+. The chalet now also has Starlink, SpaceX’s satellite-based internet connection.

L’Ecuela is located in the heart of the mountains, in a hamlet called Les Onchets, offering peace and tranquillity whilst also being only 10 minutes drive from Morzine and many of the local ski and snowboarding lifts, mountain biking and walking and hiking routes and other multiple winter and summer activities.

As a chef, I made sure that the open plan kitchen was designed for ease of use and was equipped with all that you may need for cooking for a large group. It has 2 fan ovens, microwave, gaz hob, dishwasher, 2 coffee machines (one Senseo and one filter), 2 Raclette and 2 Foundue machines, an immersion blender, electric mixer and electric vegetable grater/slicer.
Entertainment
A large decked terrasse and large garden with eating area and deck chairs and wood fire heated hot-tub can be accessed from the lounge. Parking for 6 cars next to the chalet with additional car parks within a 5 minutes walk.
The chalet also has a separate large studio room on the ground floor that can be used as a games room with pool table, table tennis and PS4 with large screen TV and cinema surround sound, or as a yoga room when it is emptied of all furniture or meeting /workshop room when furnished with conference tables and chairs.
The chalet and apartment are fully separate at opposite ends of the building.
